This series reminds me of my freshman fall quarter. It was the first time I worked with Grey Matters and I was inspired by all of the emotions I was feeling and the new faces I saw every day. As I was still adjusting to college life and figuring out how to manage my time effectively, I ended up finishing these pieces in really random places around campus in between classes. I threw my paint supplies in my backpack and often used my surroundings to inform what I was painting. I enjoyed working with the, quite literally, dreamy aesthetic and tried to emulate what it feels to be floating in the dream state.
