I believe many plants in nature are similar in shape and appearance to human organs or human shadows. My inspiration comes from the veins of plants in nature. I felt that their veins were woven into themselves, as important as nerves in the brain. I chose lotus leaves as the base and cropped parts of them. I considered using contrasting colors to create a visual impact and highlight the importance of the vein. These two images (click here to view the 1st art piece) I want to make it look like the brain, the veins of the leaves are like sulci. Also, the veins are like nerves that connect and transmit throughout the brain.
